Ever wondered what could happen if America’s blogging bakers decided to do a bake sale? Not one that is only for their child’s school, or their town or even state but a massive one that will be going on in almost every state in the entire country? Well on April 17th you can find out what kinds of goodies your favorite food bloggers will be putting up for sale!
Gaby Dalkin of What’s Gabby Cooking has organized the first annual National Food Bloggers Bake Sale. All funds raised through this bake sale will be given to Share Our Strength to help end childhood hunger in America.
“Nearly 17 million— almost one in four—children in America face hunger. Despite the good efforts of governments, private-sector institutions and everyday Americans, millions of our children still don’t have daily access to the nutritious meals they need to live active, healthy lives.”
Now, you don’t have to just go and buy the goodies. You can also get in touch with the food blogger that is heading up your state and area to find out what you can do to contribute. It seems that some states still need people to take charge in their community.
You can find out more about Gaby and her part in the bake sale over at What’s Gaby Cooking? Along with a list of all the bloggers that will be participating and where. Find out more about Share our Strength at http://strength.org.
