Memorial Day Menu from the MiK Community!

Sun, May 30, 2010

With it being Memorial Day weekend, people are getting ready to start up the grill and making some great food for their friends and family. Sometimes you don’t just want some of the regular grilled food but something cool or something comforting to go with all the great foods. We look to the Made In Kitchen Community for some fantastic ideas for your Memorial Day gathering!

First on our list is a tasty cool and soothing Spanish Gazpacho Soup in the RAW by singerinkitchen. This is a great starter to cool you off before diving into some of the fire cooked foods!

For those that would like something straight off the grill, there are Oyster Stuffed Jalapeno Poppers by SimpleFoodie. These are a great appetizer that has some spice that everyone will be eager to get their hands on!

As for a main dish, you can  either go with a delicious and traditional Cheeseburger by ZibraChoc or do something different with by having some of SimpleFoodie’s Argentinean Barbecue!

Last but certainly not least, is dessert. This Apple Pie by florayork is as all American as Memorial Day itself!

Remember, Memorial Day isn’t just about great food and great friends and family, but a day to remember those who have give for us and to remember them.
