If you’ve been around the food blog-o-sphere at all you may have heard about The Pioneer Woman and her blog. Ree Drummond doesn’t just cover food on her blog but also has sections on photography, home & garden and home schooling.
Recently (October 2009) Ms. Drummond released her first cook book The Pioneer Woman Cooks: Recipes From an Accidental Country Girl and next year the true story of how she met the man of her dreams will be published in her new book Black Heels to Tractor Wheels. Now if this wasn’t enough to get you interested, Columbia Pictures has made a deal to develop the book into a romantic comedy.
On twitter today she even confirmed it for her nearly 56,500 followers by saying
“Confirmed: Black Heels to Tractor Wheels (the book, not the blog) was optioned. Think Green Acres meets Harlequin Romance meets Forest Gump.” and “My only demand was that my brother Mike play himself. I’m still waiting to hear back on that one…”
