On television there are quiet the variety of culinary shows, but one of the most notable is the chef competition reality show Top Chef. Now instead of just watching the show and cheering on your favorite chef, you can also learn how to cook like them at Top Chef University!
Top Chef University allows you to take an online culinary course to become “Top Chef Certified” from the luxury of your own home. Those who are interested can sign up for $25 per month or $200 for the full year. The instructors? Try former Top Chef contestants like Stephanie Izzard, Nikki Cascone, Spike Mendelsohn, and Marcel Vigneron.
The full course features 60 hours worth of learning with over 200 learning videos. The courses include basics and techniques, stock, soups, salads, vegetables, eggs, dairy, meats, sea food, pastas and grains, desserts, global cuisine, and entertaining and advanced subjects. The course is designed to teach you from a beginner skill level all the way to an advanced skill level.
The site launched just yesterday, so if you’re interested, check out the demo video!
Of course if the course is too pricey for you, don’t fret, you can always find free material online and that may not be taught by the Top Chef stars or make you “Top Chef Certified“, but you can get a good idea of how to do it all on sites like right here at Made in Kitchen!
