Cheesesteak Pretzel, a Match Made in Heaven?

Thu, Jun 10, 2010

It used to be salty or plain, onions or extra cheese, but recently The Philly Pretzel Factory has changed what you want to go with your order. They’ve come up with a new food hybrid that sounds like it may be the newest pocket food, the Cheesesteak Pretzel!

Kourtney Burris told The Philadelphia Inquirer, “It’s straight-up Philly, that’s what it is. It’s kind of a strange combination.”

Some people described the cheesecake pretzel as not being messy like your usual cheesesteak, and others say it’s snack sized, but that two would make a meal. It’s said to be a twist on the Pretzel Dogs and Spicy Preztel Sausage that is also sold by The Philly Soft Pretzel Factory, but these are pretzel bread dough pockets stuffed with all the goodies that belong on a cheesesteak sandwich.

What do you think about this hybrid of meat sandwich with pretzel? Have you or do you want to give it a try? Let us know what you think!!
