Tropical Orange Vegan Smoothie

Orange Smoothies are a real treat on a hot summer day.  They are a flavorful and healthy boost for a breakfast, dessert, or just a snack. This smoothie recipe has oranges, banana and pineapple to give a great tropical flavor. Made without yogurt, this one has tofu to fill in for the creamy texture and not only makes vegetarian but vegan as well!

    Serves 3
    Time required 5 minutes
    Difficulty level 1
    Cost of ingredients 3 USD

  • 1 large Orange, peeled
  • 1 banana, peeled
  • 1 cup (250ml) pineapple, fresh
  • 4 oz silken tofu

In a blender or food processor add together orange, banana, pineapple and tofu. Blend well and serve.

If wanting it to be more of a frozen treat, add in ice cubes or freeze the fruit for 15 to 20 minutes prior to blending.
