Main Courses, Recipes

With the grilling season upon us, it’s fun to try and grill anything we can get our hands on! It keeps our homes from getting too warm and who doesn’t love the smell of food grilling? Quesadillas are a perfect food to grill outside, and this tuna one is no exception! It’s not only tasty but also easy and quick!

Serves 4
Time required 10 minutes
Difficulty level 2
Cost of ingredients 5 USD

  • 2 cans of tuna
  • 3 cups (750ml) cheese of your choice, shredded
  • 1 medium red onion, sliced thinly
  • 1 fresh jalapeno pepper, sliced thin
  • 4 large flour tortillas

Sprinkle half the cheese on one half of  tortillas. Break up the tuna and spread it on top of the cheese then add the onions and jalapenos. Sprinkle the rest of the cheese on top and fold the tortillas over to make half moons.

Place the quesadillas on the grill and allow to cook just long enough for the cheese to start melting, 30 seconds to 1 minute and flip and finish melting the cheese.

Serve with a refreshing green salad or some fruit!
