Pizza is loved by all, but sometimes you want something different than the usual tomato sauce. This pizza includes an alfredo sauce that is topped with roma tomatoes, fresh basil and mozzarella cheese!
- 1/4 cup (60ml) butter
- 1 cup (250ml) cream
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 pinch white pepper (black pepper will work)
- ¼ cup (60ml) parmesan cheese
- 2 roma tomatoes, sliced
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) fresh basil, chopped
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) mozzarella cheese, shredded
- Your favorite pizza dough

In a sauce pan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add in garlic, cream, pepper and bring to a simmer. Stir often to prevent burning. Stir in parmesan cheese and allow to simmer until thickened, about 8 minutes. Remove from heat.
Roll out pizza dough as thinly as possible and place on a pizza pan with a light dusting of cornmeal on it to help keep the dough from sticking. Allow to bake in a pre-heated oven at 425F( 220C) for about 4 -5 minutes to crisp up the crust.
Take out and add sauce, tomatoes, basil and top off with mozzarella. Put back in the oven and allow to cook until the cheese melts. If you like the beautiful brown spots on your pizza turn on the broiler for about 2 minutes, but make sure to watch your pizza as it can get burned easily!
Remove and cut into slices and enjoy!
